We were starting unit 8, which concentrates on some modal verbs. So, start by reading page 141, Unit 8, Modal verbs 1 and complete the activity
Must and have to are basically the same in affirmative sentences and mean an obligation, but have opposite meanings in the negative sense. Mustn’t becomes a prohibition and don’t or doesn’t have to explains something which is unnecessary.

Can means an ability, could is the past form of this verb.
Now go to pages 50 to 51 and complete activities 3,4,5,6 and 8.
